Last January I made the decision to launch a sister company to our nationally recognized integrated marketing and advertising agency, Bright+CO. I started OrangeWIP, a dynamic multimedia company that equips busy founders and entrepreneurs with a hyper-local platform for inspiration and resources.
Our content is free. It’s local. It’s original. And our ad-clutter-free storytelling supports local entrepreneurial ecosystems while fueling both local and regional economic growth.
Now, we’re looking toward aggressive growth. Here are our three big goals for 2023:
1. Officially announce OrangeWIP. Our PR team has been antsy to get the word out. Now that we have nine editions published across our three hyper-local media platforms (that‘s 27 distinct editions), plus 33 episodes of our Hello Chaos Podcast published, as Lizzo said, “It’s about damn time!”
2. Secure ten new branded content sponsors and ten new podcast sponsors. The demand for – and investment in – sponsored content has soared as more organizations see the value of this non-disruptive advertising method. Even the biggest names in business now see sponsored content as essential to their digital marketing program. OrangeWIP may be just the solution for those who need to connect with a niche audience of founders and entrepreneurs.
3. Launch OrangeWIP in six new communities. We have a list of communities that we are considering and have compiled criteria for evaluating the best cities in which to launch. Our hyper-local media platform can become the connective tissue that brings more value to a local entrepreneurial ecosystem. And that’s what fuels economic growth.
Those are the big three. Of course, there are more.
And I have mapped out some personal goals as well. As founders, we wear so many hats. Please don’t forget that it’s important to continue to work on yourself as well as your business and your team. I hope to share more with you about that soon.
As you look ahead, what goals have you prepared for your growth?
Lastly, I will leave you with a quote that I often refer to for motivation. I think it’s fitting.
“Making money is great but the best founders realize that money is an outcome of serving your audience and distribution. Focus on that. Money will come.”
