1 Million Cups is a community that spearheads the organization of networking events by and for volunteer entrepreneurs in different cities. The community and its events started in Kansas in 2012 and established branches in about 180 communities. At 1 million cups events, participants are empowered with skills and tools that will help them to scale their businesses faster and better.

Interested persons can organize a 1MC event in their community by applying to the program. Applications run throughout the year, excluding July, October, November, and December. No cost is required to get started, but a team of volunteers, venue, and coffee sponsors is needed. Also, companies less than five years old can apply to present their idea and work before the 1MC audience. 1MC welcomes all types of companies and ideas to present in their events.
